Hi, I’m Priscilla.

I didn’t create Progress Made Playful because I had everything figured out. Quite the opposite.

I was exhausted, depleted, and stuck in battle after battle while my kids needed me at about 150%. Then, in one brief and wonderful moment of clarity, I put my preschool-teacher and child-development hat back on and thought, “Hey, dumb-dumb, make it a game.”

So I did. And things got sooooo much better.

Not perfect. Not magically easy. Just lighter, more connected, fun, and manageable.

Things still get hard. But bringing play into our routines helped us feel more connected and made everyday life far more manageable.

THE EXPERIENCE BEHIND THE PLAY

My work with children and families spans two decades, from teaching and preschool leadership to managing programs at the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County. I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology with an emphasis in child development, along with California Child Development Program Director and Master Teacher permits.

At the museum, I developed programs and events, trained staff, and built the checklists, setup guides, and systems that helped our team deliver consistent experiences. With foundations informed by partner organizations’ recommendations, I developed a sensory-friendly implementation guide and presented that framework at the Association of Science and Technology Centers International Conference.

I’m not a therapist, and I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all answers. What I bring is deep child-development experience, creative problem-solving, genuine curiosity, and a commitment to meeting children and families exactly where they are.
